Sawbill River Lodge, on beautiful
Reindeer Lake, Manitoba, has been in operation for just one
season (summer 2004). Although we are a new lodge, we believe
we are on our way to becoming one of the finest fishing and
hunting destinations in the world. Reindeer Lake has proven
to be one of the most pristine, fish infested waters in North
America, and now Sawbill River Lodge is offering you the
opportunity of a lifetime to visit and explore this fisherman's
heaven on earth.View Map
The
Owners
Sawbill River Lodge was started in 2004 by Art and Karl
Merasty. Art, who grew up in Brochet, Manitoba, on Reindeer
Lake, is a well known business man in Thompson and all
over Manitoba. He spends his winter months working in Thompson,
and then helps out at the lodge in the summer months doing
all sorts of daily operations.
Karl, along with his wife Kim, spend their summer months
at the lodge overseeing all of the daily operations. In
the winter, Karl coaches hockey and takes care of the lodge
business, while Kim is a high school English teacher.
