Reindeer
Lake and its many rivers
have several different fish species including Pike, Walleye, Lake
Trout, Grayling, White Fish and Sturgeon Mullet. Many of these
fish are huge in girth and length. Many of the pike reach sizes
of 35 lbs and 45” plus, and the Lake Trout can get up over
60 lbs. The enormous amount of fish make catching these giants
seem simple. Our catch and release program also ensures that the
fish will be here for years to come.
As well as fishing, the Sawbill River Lodge also
offers bear and moose hunts. The spring feeding for the bears is
a sight that
will leave you in awe. The vast number of black, brown and cinnamon
bears is incredible, and, because of the vast amount of land
and water we have to offer, there is no shortage of moose.
If fishing and hunting are not your thing, come
out and enjoy one of Canada’s most breath taking wildernesses. Watch the
bears in the rivers, the wide variety of birds, or just gaze
at the Northern Lights as they float beneath the glistening stars.
Take a boat ride or walk on one of the many beaches. Dangle your
feet in the shallow pools that wait in the rivers, or just relax
at camp with a book or some friends.
At Sawbill River Lodge we don’t just offer a big lake and
big fish . . . we also offer big times!
