REINDEER LAKE: 223 km - 700 ft deep - 5500 Islands
Reindeer Lake is one of the most beautiful places in the world.
It is the 22nd largest fresh water body, world wide, and the 10th
largest in North America. The lake covers an area of 6650 km sq.
and has over 5500 islands. It's maximum length is 233 km and some
areas of the lake are over 700 ft deep (who knows what kind of
monster fish you'll find in those depths).
There are several gorgeous
creeks, streams, and rivers which feed into the lake. There
are also many majestic
sand beaches, some which span over 7 miles. The forest which
surrounds Reindeer Lake is rich with wildlife and history, and
the open skies give way to the star filled nights, and the dances
of Northern Lights.
